Allsize Self-Storage Storage facility, San Clemente, California

Evaluation of existing conditions at this facility revealed that additional support for a retaining wall was needed.  Remedial design parameters included a new caisson wall with a structural shotcrete facing, tied to a similar configuration on the opposing wall with post-tensioned threadbar.  Grading and drainage improvements were also recommended as part of this structural upgrade.

Moore & Taber provided caisson construction, placement of reinforcing steel and structural shotcrete, drilling and installation of post-tensioned threadbar anchors, grading and construction of a new concrete drain at the toe of the new wall.

This project posed a variety of challenges, all of which were addressed with the kind of innovation that makes Moore & Taber proud of its talented "can-do" staff.
